    Objectives:
        Explain the importance of having the right supplies for school
        Describe their own preferences in terms of notebooks, folders, and pencils

    Activity:
        Finish going over "School Supplies to Consider Having" handout (class set)
            Write on a bellwork page in your Social Studies notes the answer to the following
             sentence stem: "If you don't have supplies for school, you won't fail, but..."  (write the
             likely consequences of not being prepared for school).  Share with partner.  Share
            with class.
        Begin tour of room

    Ms. Schaedler is starting her 29th year of teaching middle school. (She loves it!)  Most of her work has been in Social Studies, but she has also designed and implemented a program teaching "lifelong learning skills" to middle school students to enhance their success.
