Objectives: -- Describe types of sources -- Classify examples of sources as to type -- Apply time/source knowledge in scenarios Activities: -- Some classes: View "example" of oral history using a song to tell of an event -- Complete notes on types of sources -- Play "telephone" activity to demonstrate problem with oral histories -- Classify examples of sources as to type using SmartBoard -- Receive Time/Source assignment and begin work (about 5 minutes) Independent Learning: -- Time/Source assignment (you may use your notes but work independently) -- Weekly Weekend Work: -- Check StudentVUE -- Do any missing work -- Clean out/organize backpack -- Resupply pencils and/or paper Notes/Handouts/Material covered in class: -- Students who were absent today: We finished the notes on types of sources. They are listed below. Students in class got about 5 minutes to work on a Time/Source assignment. It also is listed below (2 pages). If you want to get a jump on it, you can print it out over the weekend or you can wait and pick up a copy on Monday. You will have extra time to do it since you were absent.
